The Asia Dengue Policy Working Group hosted a Fireside Chat on dengue policy in the Philippines during Day 2 of the 8ᵗʰ Asia Dengue Summit (ADS) 2025 on 17th June 2025. Titled “One Nation, Many Islands – Policy Making in the Philippines,” the discussion explored the evolution of dengue control strategies in the Philippines, underscoring the importance of transparent communication in rebuilding vaccine confidence, and emphasising evidence-informed policymaking.
The Asia Dengue Policy Working Group hosted a panel discussion on dengue testing during Day 1 of the 8ᵗʰ Asia Dengue Summit (ADS) 2025, held on 16th June in Manila. The session brought together leading dengue experts to explore the critical role of diagnostics across the care continuum—from early detection and outbreak surveillance to informing vaccine strategies. Panellists shared clinical and systems-level perspectives on diagnostic access and the importance of science communication in addressing vaccine hesitancy. The discussion underscored that diagnostics are not only clinical tools but strategic enablers of smarter public health decisions.
The Asia Dengue Policy Working Group launched its flagship White Paper “Unlocking Progress: Dengue Policies and Opportunities in Asia” during a webinar on 30th May 2025. The webinar featured a panel discussion with dengue experts and introduced key regional and national recommendations to strengthen dengue prevention and control. The White Paper outlines actionable strategies to support the WHO’s goal of Zero Dengue Deaths by 2030 – now available on the ADPWG website.
Asia Dengue Voice and Action (ADVA) is a scientific working group dedicated to dengue vaccine advocacy in Asia, with the aim of disseminating information and making recommendations on dengue vaccine introduction strategies in Asia.
